Overview
Grinder Gym respects individual autonomy and supports the right of every member to pursue their own goals within the bounds of the law. While Grinder Gym does not recommend, supply, or condone the use of anabolic steroids or other performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs), we understand that these substances are a reality within the strength training and fitness world.
This policy outlines Grinder Gym’s stance on PEDs with the intent to maintain a professional, safe, and legally compliant environment for all members, staff, and independent contractors.
Position on PED Use
Grinder Gym does not promote or encourage the use of steroids, SARMs, growth hormone, insulin, or any other PED—whether legally prescribed or otherwise. However, we do not discriminate against individuals who choose to use PEDs outside of our facility, so long as their use does not involve or affect others in a way that violates the law or our policies.
We do not require athletes to be drug-free unless they are participating in an officially drug-tested event or representing a partner federation with specific eligibility rules.
What Is Not Allowed
To protect the integrity of the gym environment and the legal standing of the business, the following activities are strictly prohibited at Grinder Gym:
- Use, injection, or consumption of any PEDs or controlled substances on the premises
- Sale, distribution, or solicitation of PEDs or controlled substances on gym property
- Possession of illegal PEDs within the facility
- Staff, contractors, or members engaging in illegal PED-related activity while representing Grinder Gym or using its services
Violation of any of the above may result in immediate suspension or termination of membership or facility access, and possible referral to law enforcement if criminal activity is suspected.
First Amendment & Open Discussion
Grinder Gym supports open dialogue and education. Members, coaches, and guests are free to discuss PEDs in a respectful, lawful, and responsible manner. We do not censor conversations that occur within legal boundaries. However, these discussions must not:
- Include solicitation, distribution, or sourcing
- Interfere with other members’ comfort or safety
- Be presented as medical advice unless the individual is legally qualified to provide such information
Education Within Scope
As an organization, Grinder Gym will continue to stay informed about PED use and its impact on performance, recovery, and health—not to encourage use, but to understand the landscape, address misinformation, and provide fact-based education when appropriate. Any guidance or discussion provided by Grinder Gym or its coaches will always stay within the legal limits of scope of practice and not constitute medical advice.
Event Participation & Drug Testing
Some events hosted by or affiliated with Grinder Gym may require drug testing. Participants must comply with any testing protocols or eligibility rules outlined by the governing body of that specific event. Grinder Gym is not responsible for administering or enforcing drug tests unless required by the federation or sanctioning organization.
Contractor & Staff Expectations
All contractors and staff are expected to uphold this policy. While Grinder Gym does not require staff or coaches to be drug-free unless specified by a governing body, we do require that:
- No PEDs are used, sold, or promoted on the premises
- No illegal activity occurs in relation to PEDs
- No medical advice is given regarding PED use unless the individual is appropriately licensed and insured to do so
- The Grinder Gym brand is not used to promote or endorse PED-related services or products
Legal Compliance
Grinder Gym complies with all federal and state laws regarding controlled substances. We reserve the right to remove any individual from the premises who is found to be in violation of these laws or this policy.

Grinder Gym reserves the right to update this Steroid and PED Policy at any time. This policy may be updated as needed to reflect changes in legal standards, gym practices, or community feedback. Updates will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
