“I was in a dark place in my life. I was 30lbs overweight and learned my mother of 80 years had been murdered in her own home.
It was the only time in my life that living lost a lot of value. I was depressed, lethargic, eating and drinking like there was no tomorrow.
I felt if I didn’t make a radical change life would be short.
Looking through the Reader I came across an advertisement about testing a new workout program.
Sounded like something to try so I made it to the interview and was chosen to participate. I was Stoked!
I started with lots of amazing information about the body, exercise, and nutrition that was easy to read and follow.
Fortunately, my group was truly special. All ages and fitness types but with focus and a goal. Before long we were all rooting for each other.
Even though we were in a group I really felt Dave DePew was my individual trainer. He gave a lot of one on one coaching, general health advice, and wisdom like a brother.
My eating habits completely changed because I had some simple guides and recipes to follow, plus I like to cook.
I don’t know how but Dave was able to know just how far to push me to be my best, but not to break me. Often I had moments I thought I could never finish, but I always did. After just 12 weeks I had lost about 21 pounds on the scale and gained lean muscle I had lost from lack of use.
During that 12 weeks, I learned the importance of keeping active and proper eating.
It’s been quite a while, but now at almost 58 years old I surf, SUP, play drums, and planning on getting a unicycle shortly! I have lost additional weight and I am keeping it off.
I suggest anyone over 40, look at the statistics out there and choose to be your own health advocate before you are staring up from a hospital bed, or worse!
Dave has the program that works. You just need to show up ready for the challenge.” – Scott S.
