Subscapularis Doorway Stretch

Description:

The subscapularis doorway stretch opens the front of the shoulder to lengthen the subscapularis.

Muscles Stretched:

  • Subscapularis
  • Rotator Cuff

How To Perform:

  1. Stand in a doorway and place your forearm on the frame with your elbow at about shoulder height.
  2. Step forward gently and rotate your body away from the arm.
  3. Feel a stretch through the front of the shoulder.
  4. Hold without pushing into pain.
  5. Release and repeat on the other side.
