Instructions:

  1. Set the pins at your target height in the rack.
  2. Lower the bar to the pins, or start with it resting on them, and relax briefly.
  3. Re-brace and press the bar off the pins to a full lockout.
  4. Repeat for the desired reps.
  5. Stay tight through the dead stop.

  • Breaking position or rounding the back under load.
  • Rushing the lift instead of staying tight.
  • Using a range or technique that does not meet the standard.
