Built on Concrete. Built on Commitment.
We didn’t start with a fancy facility.
We didn’t start with investors.
We didn’t start with rows of machines.
We started outside.
On the concrete.
On the grinder.
Stair sprints.
Parking lot lunges.
A mapped-out one-mile warm-up.
Three buckets of dumbbells.
A few mats — if you brought your own.
It wasn’t comfortable.
It was commitment.
The Rooftop Years
As the crew grew, we moved to the rooftop of the gym hosting us.
We resurfaced it ourselves.
Built it ourselves.
Turned exposed concrete into a training ground.
No mirrors.
No air conditioning.
No shortcuts.
Just effort.
Under the leadership of Dave DePew, thousands of individuals transformed — physically and mentally.
Before we ever moved into our own facility, we had grown to over 150 members, running eight sessions a day.
This was before “boot camps” were mainstream.
Before transformation challenges became marketing trends.
The movement came first.
The industry followed.
From Concrete to Destination Facility
Today, Grinder Gym is:
A destination gym.
An event center.
A learning annex.
Fully equipped for strongman, powerlifting, grip sport, armwrestling, and performance-based training.
We host competitions.
We train athletes.
We build long-term members.
We coach beginners and champions alike.
But the heart hasn’t changed.
We still train like we’re on the concrete.
We still coach like every session matters.
We still believe results are earned — not given.
What We Actually Build
We don’t just build muscle.
We build belief.
We build discipline.
We build long-term strength — physically and mentally.
The equipment has improved.
The facility has grown.
The standards have risen.
But the grind is the same.
