The Handstand Push-Up Challenge is designed to test upper body strength, balance, and endurance. This challenge measures how many strict handstand push-ups you can complete while maintaining proper form.

Challenge Details

  • Event Type: Online and in-person challenge
  • Objective: Perform the maximum number of strict handstand push-ups.

Rules & Guidelines

  1. Starting Position:
    • Begin in a handstand position with your heels against a wall.
    • Keep your body straight and core engaged.
  2. Push-Up Execution:
    • Lower your head until it gently touches the ground or a pad.
    • Press back up until your arms are fully extended.
    • Maintain control and avoid kipping or using momentum.
  3. Counting Reps:
    • Only reps completed with proper depth and full lockout count.
    • No excessive arching or bending at the waist.
  4. Measurement:
    • Total reps completed with proper form.
  5. Video Submission Requirements (For Online Entries):
    • Ensure the entire body is visible in the recording.
    • Clearly announce your name before starting.
    • Submissions must be unedited and recorded in real-time.

    • Youth 1 (8-10)
    • Youth 2 (11-12)
    • Teen 1 (13-15)

    • Masters 1 (40-49)
    • Masters 2 (50-59)
    • Masters 3 (60-69)
  • Leaderboard Updates: Rankings will be posted periodically, and top performances will be highlighted.

  • Upper Body Strength: Incorporate shoulder presses, dips, and pike push-ups into your training.
  • Balance & Stability: Work on wall-supported holds and core engagement.
  • Proper Form: Ensure full range of motion and controlled movement.
  • Breathing Technique: Maintain steady breathing to sustain endurance.
