Grinder Gym proudly hosts a variety of strength sports events, including—but not limited to—powerlifting, strongman, Olympic lifting, and fitness challenges. This policy establishes the standards for athlete eligibility, conduct, risk acknowledgment, and event participation expectations for all competitors, volunteers, and spectators.
Eligibility and Registration
To participate in any Grinder Gym-hosted strength event, all athletes must:
- Complete the official event registration process
- Sign all required liability waivers and health declarations
- Comply with weight class verification procedures (if applicable)
- Be in good standing with Grinder Gym and not subject to any disciplinary bans
Some events may have additional eligibility requirements, such as federation memberships, drug testing compliance, or age restrictions. These will be clearly outlined on the event registration page.
Athlete Conduct
All athletes are expected to:
- Exhibit sportsmanship and integrity at all times
- Comply with event rules, equipment standards, and judging criteria
- Treat staff, volunteers, and fellow competitors with respect
- Follow warm-up area and competition area protocols
Violations of rules, unsafe behavior, or disrespectful conduct may result in immediate disqualification and removal from the premises without refund.
Waivers and Risk Acknowledgment
By registering for or participating in a Grinder Gym event, all individuals acknowledge that:
- Strength sports carry inherent risks of physical injury, including but not limited to strains, sprains, fractures, and other trauma
- They voluntarily assume all risks associated with event participation
- Grinder Gym, its staff, sponsors, and affiliates are not liable for injuries, lost property, or damages resulting from participation or attendance
A signed waiver is required for all athletes before participating in any event.
Equipment Use and Responsibility
Participants may use personal equipment (belts, wraps, straps, etc.) unless otherwise restricted by event rules. Grinder Gym is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal gear. Athletes must adhere to equipment safety standards set forth in the event description or rulebook.
Drug Testing and Fair Play
Some events may be sanctioned by federations that require drug testing or compliance with anti-doping policies. Athletes must follow any related testing procedures and rules for eligibility. Grinder Gym does not enforce drug testing unless required by the event organizer or sanctioning body.
Photography, Video, and Media Release
By participating in a Grinder Gym strength event, you agree that:
- Your name, image, video footage, and competition results may be recorded and shared publicly
- Grinder Gym may use event footage or photography for promotional purposes without additional consent or compensation
For concerns about media use, please contact info@grindergym.com prior to the event.
Spectator and Volunteer Guidelines
Spectators and volunteers are expected to follow all safety protocols, respect staff instructions, and refrain from interfering with event operations. Disruptive behavior may result in removal from the venue.
Refunds and Transfers
Event registration fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in the event’s official terms. Transfers to another athlete or future event may be allowed at the discretion of event organizers, pending written request and approval.
