Grinder Gym hosts a wide variety of strength sports events, workshops, competitions, and community gatherings designed to inspire, challenge, and bring people together through strength. To ensure a professional, inclusive, and safe environment for everyone involved, this Event Code of Conduct applies to all athletes, coaches, judges, vendors, volunteers, staff, and spectators attending or participating in any Grinder Gym event.
Expectations for All Participants
All individuals attending a Grinder Gym event are expected to:
- Treat others with dignity, respect, and professionalism
- Follow event rules, staff directions, and all safety guidelines
- Refrain from offensive, discriminatory, or abusive behavior, language, or gestures
- Respect the facility, equipment, and property of others
- Avoid any behavior that disrupts the integrity of competition or the experience of other attendees
This applies before, during, and after the event—both onsite and online.
Athlete Conduct
Athletes are expected to:
- Compete with honor and sportsmanship
- Respect judges, spotters, loaders, and volunteers
- Abide by weigh-in protocols, equipment rules, and performance standards
- Follow all warm-up room procedures and use equipment properly
- Accept all scoring and rule interpretations respectfully through proper channels
Unsportsmanlike conduct—including throwing equipment, verbal abuse, or attempts to manipulate scoring—may result in disqualification and removal from the event.
Spectator Conduct
Spectators play an important role in supporting the athletes and the event atmosphere. We ask that spectators:
- Cheer and support competitors in a positive and respectful manner
- Do not interfere with judges, officials, or spotters/loaders
- Remain in designated spectator areas unless otherwise permitted
- Keep aisles and access points clear for safety
- Respect announcements, venue policies, and other guests
Harassment and Discrimination
Harassment of any kind—including sexual harassment, physical intimidation, verbal abuse, or discriminatory remarks based on race, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or other protected classes—will not be tolerated. Violations will result in immediate removal and potential banning from future events.
If you feel unsafe or experience harassment, notify event staff or management immediately. All reports will be taken seriously and addressed promptly.
Photography and Media
Event photographers and videographers may capture images of competitors and the crowd. By attending or participating, you consent to being photographed or filmed for use in event recaps, promotions, and Grinder Gym media platforms. If you prefer not to be featured, notify staff in advance.
Recording for personal use is allowed, provided it does not interfere with the event, officials, or other spectators.
Alcohol, Substances, and Behavior
- Alcohol is not permitted on the premises during most events unless explicitly stated
- The use, sale, or possession of illegal substances or banned performance-enhancing drugs is prohibited on all Grinder Gym property
- Anyone visibly intoxicated or behaving aggressively will be removed immediately
Compliance and Enforcement
Grinder Gym reserves the right to:
- Deny entry or remove individuals who violate this policy
- Disqualify athletes or revoke awards for unsportsmanlike behavior
- Bar individuals from future events for serious or repeated offenses
No refunds will be issued for removal due to misconduct.
