30-Day Cancellation Notice Policy
Effective Date: [Insert Date]
Website: https://www.grindergym.com
Operated by: Dave DePew Enterprises, Inc. (a California corporation)
Policy Overview
At Grinder Gym, we value transparency and fairness in all our services. To maintain the quality and continuity of our programs, memberships, and coaching services, we require a 30-day written cancellation notice for the termination of any ongoing service or recurring membership.
This policy allows us to plan staffing, scheduling, and client support with respect for both the business and our members.
Applies To
This 30-day cancellation notice policy applies to the following:
- Month-to-month gym memberships (including 24-hour access)
- Recurring personal training or coaching sessions
- Online and in-person group coaching programs
- Nutrition and accountability services with ongoing billing
- Any tiered service requiring regular billing and support
Notice Requirements
All cancellation requests must:
- Be submitted in writing (email or in person at the front desk)
- Include the member’s full name and contact information
- Clearly state the intention to cancel
- Be submitted at least 30 days prior to the next billing cycle
The 30-day period begins on the date we receive your written cancellation notice, not the date you intend to stop using services.
Billing During the Cancellation Period
During the 30-day notice period, billing will continue as scheduled, and services will remain available to you. You may continue to use the gym, attend sessions, or access online coaching during this time. No prorated refunds are issued for unused time within the 30-day period.
Early Termination Requests
If you request to cancel with fewer than 30 days’ notice, one final payment will still be processed as part of your cancellation obligation. Exceptions to this policy are rare and may be considered on a case-by-case basis due to medical emergencies, relocation outside of the service area, or deployment, with supporting documentation.
Freezes and Holds
If you’re unable to continue your services temporarily, we offer membership or coaching “holds” for qualifying reasons such as medical leave, injury, or travel. Placing your membership on hold does not eliminate the 30-day cancellation requirement unless otherwise agreed in writing.
12-Month Contracts or Prepaid Programs
If you’ve prepaid for a program or signed a longer-term agreement (e.g., annual membership or 12-week transformation challenge), the cancellation policy follows the terms outlined in your specific contract. In most cases, early cancellation may result in forfeiture of a portion of prepaid fees or an early termination fee unless otherwise stated.
Communication Channels
To submit a cancellation request, please contact us via one of the following:
Email: info@grindergym.com
In person: Visit the front desk at Grinder Gym during administrative hours
Mail: Grinder Gym, 1013 Morena Blvd, San Diego, CA 92110
Verbal cancellation requests or messages sent to social media accounts will not be accepted as official cancellation notices.
Policy Acknowledgment
All members and coaching clients are informed of the 30-day cancellation policy at the time of registration or sign-up. By enrolling in a recurring membership or coaching service, you agree to this cancellation policy in full.
Policy Updates
Grinder Gym reserves the right to modify or update this policy at any time. Any changes will be posted to this page with an updated effective date.
